South African born DJ/Producer Vertigo began his love for house music in the year 1998 fast forward to 2010, he is now creating and playing house for people across the globe. Vertigo got hooked to house when “GARAGE & Mid Tempo” were still famous with the likes of Mousse T, Mob Hunter and Gordon Edge being some of the artist that influenced his view in music. His musical journey then grew into a passion when his brother was a famous DJ in Pretoria (The capital city of South Africa) and taught the young Vertigo to spin vinyl at the age of 11 at their house. Vertigo’s brother quit Djaying to complete his studies and left all the records to the young man to follow his passion in music, soon after that Vertigo was exposed to the sounds of Kerri Chandler, MAW, Franck Roger, and Blaze (the list can go on forever). 2009 was the year were everything changed in the life of this DJ, when he met an local house producer by the name of Tizmo that made him believe that he can do more than spin traxx, but create them and that’s when Vertigo House Recordings was born. With all the support and belief of his friends and loved one’s Vertigo struggled with finding his sound for months and finally in June 2010 his first EP(Spiritual Joy) was released and that gained him the required respect to work with other producers like Roy Smolz, Tizmo, DJ Bullet and Kat la Kat just to name a few. Vertigo has worked hard to follow his passion and he also featured on Deepinc.net and has had some of his unreleased traxx being played and appreciated by DJ’s and producers in Europe. Recently he has joined the Smoothtraxx Radio family and he’s surely going to take you on a journey into HOUSE.
